Queen Latifah: Plus-Size Is A Word We Need To Bury At This Point (PHOTOS)

I'm a size 8 and the industry used to make me feel 'guilty' that I am healthy with God-given curves (my overly curved buttocks). I am no longer considered 'fuller-figured' or 'plus-sized' because they finally got it right. I'm 'normal' & anyone that doesn't agree can look the other way or eat grits for life. However, Queen Latifah's size should perhaps be considered 'plus-size' but only because of her height & size combined. She is beautiful & carries her frame well. She is tall as well as curvy so it puts her appropriately in that category. And there is NOTHING wrong with that term in my opinion. It means what it is without being offensive. So 'full-figure' now represents 'larger than average/normal' size. This is based on the BMI (Body Mass Index) and not the rail-thin super models that had people confused.

How to Wash Make-Up Brushes

To clean makeup brushes, pour a mild household liquid soap, like baby shampoo or ivory liquid soap, into the palm of your hand and mix with water. Use your hand as a cup for the warm, soapy water and swirl brushes in your palm until they are clean. Rinse well, then gently squeeze excess water from the brush and let air dry. Don't soak brushes in the sink-too much time in water can loosen the bristles and ruin your brush!

Blush 101

A perfect natural flush is all about location, location, location!

The real key to blush is matching it to your natural flush—and location, location, location!
  1. Select a blush based on the color your skin turns when you pinch your cheeks.
  2. Apply your foundation and powder as usual.
  3. Smile—see the apples of your cheeks? That's your target! Using your blush brush, apply in a circular motion to rounded cheeks. Blend up and outward toward temples until no hard lines are left.
Pro Tip: Add a little warmth with a light dusting of bronzer at the tops of cheekbones, where the sun would naturally hit your face.

Michelle Obama Dons Duo Of Looks To Poetry Workshop & Evening Celebration On Wednesday (PHOTOS, POLL)

I am so thankful that she is our first lady. She gets to not only showcase her beauty & style to the world...but she does it while standing firm and tall on many social injustices, promotion of family values and peace. Wow! She is THE woman of the year for the last 4 years in my opinion. Oh...yea...not to mention she gets to do it all as back up to and with support of an equally amazing mate. :-)

MAC & Wonder Woman Unite!!!!!!!!!

What are the odds that my fav Super Hero (I play her in real life for my hubby...*sneaky grin*) and one of my fav make-up lines would collaborate. I am in HEAVEN with the Wonder Woman products @ MAC. MAC took the concept of Wonder Woman's signature red lips & created an animated and fun version (packaging) of their own Russian Red and the color can't stay on the shelves now! Well, at least when I went to MAC. Russian Red is one of my fav colors besides the Viva Glam series.

There are other limited MAC products with Wonder Woman's logo on it but also notable is the huge tubes of blue mascara shown in the picture below.
